Transcending Trauma: An IFS retreat in Bali with Dr. Frank Anderson

April 26 - May 2, 2026 I Hosted by IFSBali.com

Join us in beautiful Bali for a rare opportunity to learn directly from Dr. Frank Anderson, Harvard-trained psychiatrist, bestselling author, and one of the leading voices in the field of trauma healing and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

This 7-day retreat is designed for IFS-trained therapists and practitioners who wish to deepen their understanding of complex trauma and dissociation through the IFS lens.

With a compassionate and neuroscience-informed approach, Dr. Anderson will guide participants in understanding how trauma impacts the brain, body, and internal system—while offering practical and powerful tools to support healing. Through a blend of teaching, experiential exercises, and reflective practice, you’ll explore how IFS uniquely addresses the many layers of PTSD and dissociation, making even the most overwhelming clinical challenges more manageable and meaningful.

Set against the backdrop of Bali’s coastal beauty, this retreat offers a rich combination of teaching, experiential practice, and community connection – all in a nourishing, intimate environment.

Retreat sessions take place in a traditional Balinese joglo-style wooden shala, complete with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and open access to the surrounding greenery.

The venue also offers an on-site spa, yoga program, and fitness facilities for those who wish to unwind between sessions. Spa treatments and surf lessons can be booked through the hotel and are available at your own expense.

Getting to Bali

Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar – DPS) is well-connected to many major cities worldwide. Here are some typical flight options:

From the US East Coast: United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Qatar Airways offer connecting flights via their respective hubs.

From the US West Coast: Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and China Airlines offer one-stop routes from cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles.

From Australia: Direct flights are available from Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth with Qantas, Jetstar, and Virgin Australia.

From Singapore: Singapore Airlines operates direct flights from Changi Airport to Denpasar, with a flight time of approx. 2 hours.

We’re happy to help arrange trusted ground transportation from the airport to the retreat venue, so your arrival is smooth and stress-free.

🕊️ Please plan your travel to allow full participation
To honor the depth of this retreat and our shared space together, we ask that all participants plan to be present from the opening to the closing of the program:

Arrival: Please schedule your flight to arrive in Bali by 12:30 PM at the latest on Sunday, April 26th. This ensures time for airport procedures and transfer, so you’re settled in and ready for our Welcome Session at 4:30 PM.

Departure: The retreat concludes with lunch around 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 2nd, so your return flight should not be earlier than 5:00 PM that day.

Thank you for planning ahead to be present for the entire retreat — your presence from beginning to end truly matters.
